45th Annual California Bus Association Convention & Trade Show

October 21-23,  2018

Resort at Squaw Creek
400 Squaw Creek Road
Olympic Valley, CA 96146 (near Lake Tahoe)

Join bus companies from all over the west at this year’s exciting and informative convention! As always, the CBA Convention & Trade show will afford you the opportunity to exchange your ideas, war stories and experiences with other operators and suppliers. Invest four days in the future of your company! You can’t afford to miss it.

Once again, we are partnering with the American Bus Association for the Bus Industry Safety Council West meeting for the Tuesday educational sessions. Get a feel for how and what the Bus Industry Safety Council is, when they will meet and how you can get involved. The goal of improving motorcoach safety and ensuring that your bus is ready to travel safely down the road, is one that we should all share. If you are a safety, compliance or maintenance professional, this is where you need to be.  CBA has a special registration fee for non-member bus companies that will include the BISC sessions and the CBA Trade Show.

Come for the convention and stay for the vacation. Resort as Squaw Creek offers every activity you need for an unforgettable Lake Tahoe Experience. Investigate the fun possibilities that await you.

See below for the schedule and registration information. Register today - this will be one of the best conventions we have ever had!

The Sunday Family Tour

Spend a relaxing day, touring the “Seven Sacred Sights of Tahoe” as we travel around Lake Tahoe. Learn about Tahoe history, including the 1960 Olympics in Squaw Valley, the story of Samuel Clemons (Mark Twain), and real estate magnate, George Whittell as we drive by the infamous Thunderbird Lodge. We’ll make stops at some of the country’s most breathtaking views including, Garwoods Carnielian Bay, Sand Harbor State Park (the most beautiful place in Nevada), Emerald Bay (the second most photographed location in America), and Meeks Bay.

Come see why Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places in the world – all while enjoying the company of your industry friends and family!

The Coach will depart from Resort at Squaw Creek at 9:00 am and return at 3:00 pm.

Golf and More Golf

There is really nothing better than mixing business with pleasure. Join your CBA friends and challenge yourself at this year’s CBA annual Golf Tournaments.

This year, both the skins and regular golf tournament will take place at the beautiful Links at Squaw Creek. A championship golf course resting at the base of Squaw Valley and surrounded by 6 majestic Sierra mountain peaks. Designed by the renowned golf course architect, Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Links at Squaw Creek was designed to preserve the beauty, natural wetlands, and wildlife habitat of Squaw Valley. You’ll be amazed by the natural beauty of this course.
Republic Indemnity is sponsoring our Sunday Golf Tournament which is always an outstanding event and you don't have to be a golf pro to join in the fun. Country club dress code required, and all players must be registered convention attendees. No metal spikes.

For those of you who can't get enough, a skin's game has been scheduled for Saturday.

This course is designed for golfing and don't forget, there is a spa for the non-golfing spouse or a fun family tour on Sunday. This will be the biggest tournament ever. Team Awards will be presented during Monday's breakfast to the 1st, and 2nd place team. Individual prizes will be awarded for Nearest to the Pin & Longest Drives.

Good golf, good friends, good times.

Monday Night Madness

Take a step back in time this October when Monday Night Madness visits the site of the 1960 Olympic Winter Games.  Although much of Squaw Valley and the Olympic Village has changed, there are a few of the original structures remaining.  Hosting our madness event, is the O’Lodge.  A rustic mountain venue which was the dining hall for all the Olympic athletes during the games.  Notably, it was the last time all the athletes all ate together.  Join us and immerse yourself in a little history, enjoy food, fellowship, and networking with your CBA family.  As you know, Madness is an event you do not want to miss!

Monday Night  Madness is sponsored by the vendors who are attending the functions and will be on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Transportation will be provided.
